Island of Hvar
Due to its extremely important position in the center of the main sea routes, history has left many traces on Hvar, perhaps more than on any other Adriatic island. The constant struggles for supremacy that have been waged in this area between the various invaders are only a confirmation of the significance and value that this territory has had since ancient times.The first evidence of life in this area dates back to prehistoric times, when the discovery of painted pottery in Marko and Grapčeva Caves defined a separate Hvar culture. It is interesting that the oldest representation of a ship in Europe was found on fragments of a vessel from Grapcheva shpilja.Today, Hvar is often called the "Croatian St-Tropez", and is one of the most popular Croatian islands. The town of Hvar has become a major destination for entertainment from all over the world. One of the main features of Hvar is sunlight. The island of Hvar is blessed with 2718 hours of sunshine a year, which makes it the sunniest Croatian island.

Hvar's reputation as a hot spot of night parties never disappointed especially the VIP clubs where we spotted lots of celebrities as we enjoyed our cocktails and good music.

My trip to this island was a wondrous and informative trip especially its well-preserved renaissance residences with nice-looking arcades and walled gardens. Hvar has a very magical vibe.

Hvar island is a very picturesque place with authentic dining joints. My family especially enjoyed the fancy taverns with their secret recipes and maritime rustic touches. The salad, ham, and other dishes served by the cordial waiters were very savory.

I and my friends were very pleased with the ample scope of adventurous activities. We went diving and had a great time viewing historic shipwrecks and all manner of magical-looking sea creatures.

We went to Hvar island with my kids and grandbabies and had a wonderful time. I particularly enjoyed the exotic greenery of pine, palm, and yuccas. My grandkids who enjoy painting had the time of their lives in the art workshops.

I had an incredible time on the island and I particularly enjoyed the glorious sunsets seated next to a fortress pool. Its unique location is heavenly and I recommend this place to all.
