Otok Hvar
Zbog svog izrazito važnog položaja u središtu glavnih pomorskih putova, na Hvaru je povijest ostavila brojne tragove, možda više no na bilo kojem drugom jadranskom otoku. Stalne borbe za prevlast koje su se vodile na ovom području između raznih osvajača samo su potvrda značaja i vrijednosti koju je ovaj teritorij imao od davnina.Prvi dokazi života na ovom prostoru potječu još od prapovijesnog doba kada je pronalascima bojane keramike u Markovoj i Grapčevoj špilji definirana zasebna Hvarska kultura. Zanimljivost je da je najstariji prikaz lađe u Europi pronađen upravo na fragmentima jedne posude iz Grapčeve špilje.Danas je Hvar često nazivan "hrvatskim St-Tropezom", te je jedan od najpopularnijih hrvatskih otoka. Grad Hvar je postao glavno odredište za zabavu iz svih krajeva svijeta. Jedna od glavnih značajki Hvara je sunčevo svjetlo. Otok Hvar ima 2718 sunčanih sati godišnje, što ga čini najsunčanijim hrvatskim otokom.

The island lived up to its fame. I greatly enjoyed its signature delicious dishes such as gregada served with freshly baked bread in the traditional way.

The island's warm guides made our trips very memorable. Like taking us to the delightful abandoned villages where we got to enjoy tasty white fish prepared on open flames. The expansive lavender fields and pine trees brought some wonderful calming breezes.

Hvar island proved to be a very spectacular place, especially the port where I could enjoy the panoramic view of the sea and watch the beautiful ships. It's a very pretty island.

I fell in love with this island particularly the crystal clear and white stoned bays where I got to enjoy swimming. We letter went sailing and i enjoyed the glorious uninterrupted views of the sea. I can't wait to return.

I was pretty entertained on the island especially the wine bars where I became friends with lots of other cheerful wine lovers. The wine tasting left me very enchanted and I still yearn to visit the island again.

Hvar islands boat trips were very recreational and I and my friends got to enjoy snorkeling in the island's pristine and secluded coves. The whole experience left us soothed and rejuvenated.

What I particularly reminisce about during my trip to Hvar Island was waking up to the enchanting smell emanating from the vast lavender gardens. We even bought lavender and olive oils, honey, and rosemary.
