Otok Hvar
Zbog svog izrazito važnog položaja u središtu glavnih pomorskih putova, na Hvaru je povijest ostavila brojne tragove, možda više no na bilo kojem drugom jadranskom otoku. Stalne borbe za prevlast koje su se vodile na ovom području između raznih osvajača samo su potvrda značaja i vrijednosti koju je ovaj teritorij imao od davnina.Prvi dokazi života na ovom prostoru potječu još od prapovijesnog doba kada je pronalascima bojane keramike u Markovoj i Grapčevoj špilji definirana zasebna Hvarska kultura. Zanimljivost je da je najstariji prikaz lađe u Europi pronađen upravo na fragmentima jedne posude iz Grapčeve špilje.Danas je Hvar često nazivan "hrvatskim St-Tropezom", te je jedan od najpopularnijih hrvatskih otoka. Grad Hvar je postao glavno odredište za zabavu iz svih krajeva svijeta. Jedna od glavnih značajki Hvara je sunčevo svjetlo. Otok Hvar ima 2718 sunčanih sati godišnje, što ga čini najsunčanijim hrvatskim otokom.

We had a really great time on this island. We loved the abandoned museums that had strange structures and nice trees that we really admired. The kids particularly loved this island and are always talking about the trip.

Hvar Island is hands down the paradise capital of Croatia's islands. I saw this first hand after experiencing a view from the top of a fortress. The red roofs, town walls, and pristine blue waters looked so magical. I look forward to visiting again.

I really enjoyed myself on my trip to this beautiful town. I particularly enjoyed taking walks along its pathways lined by beautiful lavender vines and enjoying the pleasant warm sun. I found this mystical island very relaxing!

We really enjoyed the relaxed and calm nature of this island. I particularly enjoyed the summer sunsets and as the town turned golden, even time seemed to stop. This is by far the most relaxing and calming trip I ever had.

Hvar island has famous local beers that I and the boys came to check out. We visited the breweries and tasted the various tasty craft beers of different flavors and the whole experience left us feeling so nice. We shall visit again.

We rented a motorboat and went to explore the unfrequented coves of the islands with their serene and inviting waters. We had a good time taking dips in the water and we look forward to our next trip.

I was impressed to learn that the island has vineyards that ferment grapes to exotic wine. I bought a few bottles and its sweet sensations stimulated my entire body.
