Radun is the Old Illyrian name for a water source. From the first days, Radunica was the central street of Luchac, around which, some five hundred years ago, the old people of Split gathered coming from the Republic of Poljica.
Their names are: Kuzmanicha, Ninchevicha, Kuzmicha, Ruzhicha, Bubala, Trumbicha, Duplanchicha, Dumanicha, Petricha, Prvana, Veshanovicha, Dvornika, Chulicha and so on.
Radunica has become even more popular with the folk festival DAYS OF RADUNICA, which has been taking place for years in the last week of June, for St. Peter day.
