Island of Cres
The island of Cres is located in the northern part of the Kvarner Bay. Easily accessible, the island can be reached by ferry from the island of Krk or from the Istrian peninsula on the west side. From a distance this island seems like a rough chain of hills; even when you visit an island, you will often find it bare. One of the reasons for this characteristic is precisely the position of Cres; namely the island is not protected from the cold wind Bura blowing from the mainland, so in the western part of the island is mostly low vegetation, and only on the east side of Cres you can find lush deciduous trees. Friendly locals, beautiful pebble and sandy beaches, preserved environment and clear sea are the main tourist attractions and advantages of the island. As for accommodation, there are only two hotels on the island, right next to the beach that will allow you a top vacation.

We had a tremendous break in Cres (island) as it has ancient buildings with history behind it and even things like sculptures. Very nice place to be.

I found it that there is a rescue centre for birds here in Cres (island) and it is well maintained. Cres is modernized in that there is remote access.

We discovered Cres (island) to be really admirable with exquisite paintings and carvings from many places such as the church. They bring a gothic feel to the area.

We tasted several things that were fantastic in Cres (island) when we came one morning to the square in town. We loved the trades that are here everyday.

As we walked on cobbled streets in Cres (island), we couldn't help but notice medieval structures that have a modern touch. The sites are dazzling.

I had enormous time in Cres (island) as I enjoyed some peace and quiteness in different places here. Sometimes the tower was a cool place to relax.
