Slatina
Slatina is a town in Croatian Slavonia. It is located in Virovitica-Podravina County, at the junction of the Drava Valley and the foothills of Papuk Mountain, in the central part of the Podravina region. It was ruled by the Ottoman Empire between 1542 and 1687, when it was occupied by Austrian troops."Slatina" in Croatian means "salt lake". However, there is no more salt lake there.The peculiarity of this part of Podravina is the distinct natural zonation, which was reflected in the economic evaluation of the region and the role of Slatina. Climatically, the area is located in a circulatory zone of temperate latitudes, almost halfway through the dynamic zones of circulation of cold polar and warm tropical air masses. The result is very frequent and intense changes in weather.

I learned about the history of this location and how it has diversified over the years. It was ruled by the ottoman empire between 1542 and 1687 and was later occupied by Austrian troops. I will visit the location again soon.

I enjoyed the cool weather conditions in this area. I loved the luscious green vegetation that spread throughout the area giving it a picturesque ambiance and the serenity since it is sparsely populated. I will visit again soon

I got to learn about the history of the town of how it was ruled by the Ottoman. Although there was intense weather changes, the weather was favourable to be because the sun wasn't too harsh.I would recommend this town for a tour.

The naturalness of the mother nature in Slatina adds a beautiful scene to town. I took a nature walk in the park and the cool air and quiet park was calming and did my meditation here. I took several pictures for remembrance.

We visited the winery and had a tour guide that told us the wine history of the place and we crowned our visit with tasting of some good quality wine.

The castle has a beautiful architectural structure and holds some historical stories that dates back in time. I loved how the collections were arranged properly and they displayed information perfectly. Awesome place.

We booked a session at the spa with my partner for a massage and it was worth the wait. We had spectacular services and felt rejuvinated. I would recommend the place.
