Požega
Požega je biser "Zlatne doline", smješten u srcu doline okružen Psunjem, Papukom, Krndijom, Diljem i Požeškom gorom. To je grad sa 26.403 stanovnika, s gotovo osam stoljeća pisane povijesti, ali za koji arheološka istraživanja također potvrđuju tragove življenja u predpovijesti.Ovaj se grad prvi put spominje davne 1227. godine, kada je požeška tvrđava postala kraljevsko imanje. Požega je imala važnu ulogu u srednjem vijeku, ali i u modernoj Slavoniji. Sjedište je Požeške županije, turskog sandžaka, a nakon protjerivanja Turaka 1688. godine postao je značajno kulturno središte. Prva slavonska gimnazija osnovana je u Požegi 1699. godine, a od 1763. do 1774. djelovala je i Academia Possegana. Najveću renesansu Požega je doživjela u 18. stoljeću. Požeški obrtnici osnivali su cehove i bili nositelji gospodarskog života grada. U gradu se osnivaju škole, ljekarna, pošta, a počinje i razvoj bankarstva.Naziv “Slavonska Atena” dobiva Požega u 19. stoljeću kad se osnivaju brojna kulturna društva od kojih mnoga i danas djeluju.

At arrival, we got to know more about the rich history of Pozhenga that it is a city of 26,403 people with at least eight century of written history. We us the lovers of customs and norms, we got deeper information concerning the cultural history since it is a cultural center. What an a fantastic place to keep visiting!

On top of that, this is a better place in terms of economic activities as the craftsmen had introduced guilds in the city. We got an opportunity to visit the nearby schools for benchmarking. It is one of the developed city that I will have to come back.

I enjoyed touring this place which had all social amenities I wanted. The pharmacy in town was well stocked, there was a school and a post office. I wrote a letter to my mum and told her how wonderful this place was. I took pictures at the school and enjoyed playing with the children.

The wineries at this place were amazing. I passed through thousands of vine trees just enjoying the cool atmosphere and listening to birds sing their sweet songs. I was invited to a wine tasting function and I ended up buying a bottle. It was a great experience.

The racing events are awesome and the experience we had was one to remember at the motorcross and the car racing tracks.

We attended the annual judo tournament and it was an amazing experience with the atmosphere being spectacular and the remarkable occassion.

We had a chance to go hunting on the nearby hills and the experince was great and the lilttle time at the woods was amzing.
