Otok Šolta
Otok Šolta toliko je blizu Splita da je praktički predgrađe hrvatske jadranske metropole uz more. Samo 19 km dugačak i pet km širok, ovaj je mali otok kratka vožnja trajektom i idealan dnevni izlet iz Splita. To je brežuljkast otok sa strmim obalama, uglavnom na južnoj strani, i dubokim uvalama. Uz obilje zaštićenih uvala, Makija, bilje i grmlje koje prekrivaju otok savršeni su pčelarski pašnjaci, zbog čega je Šolta poznata po medu .Turizam je na Šolti sve razvijeniji, ali nije ni blizu toliko posjećen kao glavni hrvatski otoci. Glavne aktivnosti i dalje se vrte oko vjekovne proizvodnje maslinovog ulja i meda što ga čini idealnim za one koji žele skrenuti sa standardne turističke staze da bi uvidjeli tradicionalni otočni život, degustirali lokalne specijalitete, uživali ispijajući čašu domaćeg vina gledajući nezaboravne zalaske sunca.

I really enjoyed learning about the honey making process from the zealous bee farmers of Solta. Their passion about bees was really charming. The honey was very sweet!

We were delighted to visit Island of Solta and finding a magical place. We really enjoyed the speed boat tours and enjoying its perfect sunsets. A lovely place to visit.

My husband and I really enjoyed our honey moon here in Island of solta as we had fun diving and sailing in the pristine clear waters. Great place for couples.

The atmosphere at the island is good and with the summer it earns the best time for swimming and we had the chance to swim in the waters and also bays.
