Cres
Heute ist Cres vor allem ein touristisches Ort. Seine Geschichte geht auf das Jahr 1845 zurück. Schöne Lage von Cres (die Stadt befindet sich in der Adriatischen Bucht) ermöglichte die Entwicklung von Fischerei, Schifffahrt und Schiffbau. Die Altstadt bietet einen Einblick in ihre Vergangenheit und Gegenwart - schmale und hohe Häuser lehnen sich wie ein Labyrinth aneinander. An einigen Häuserfassaden sind noch alte Wappen zu sehen, die auf die Berufe der Bewohner hinweisen. Früher war die Altstadt von hohen Mauern umgeben, und man konnte die Stadt durch drei Stadttore betreten.

We had a really great time here in Cres Town. We especially enjoyed the glorious boat adventures where we spotted gigantic whales. Watching the huge whales was like a scene out of a movie. I am looking forward to coming again very soon.

Cres Town is a cultural treasure that has sights to behold. I especially enjoyed admiring the rare statutes and exhibits in the art centers that were so unique. I really look forward to another visit.

I really enjoyed my vacation in Cres town. I especially enjoyed visiting the beautiful cathedrals and churches which were so quiet and peaceful inside. The interior design was jaw-dropping. What a town!

We had a lot of fun while camping in this vibrant town. After a day of adventurous trips and learning, I relished sitting with a drink and enjoying the magical sunsets. My friends already planned another trip.

We really had a great time here with my siblings. We especially enjoyed scuba diving and snorkeling where we got to admire the magical sea underworld of fish and ship wrecks. What an experience we had!

The restaurants in Cres Town serve superb seafood with truffles appetizers and sizzling steak. The meals were served by smiling waiters that ensured we got value for our money.

Cres Town is a historical treasure that left my kids with a sense of awe with its rich traditions. The medieval time's ports had cute relics on display and the kids were very delighted.
