25 kilometers from Zadar, via the northeast, on the Novigrad coast, the town of Posedarje sprang up. It is first mentioned under the name Possedaria in a document from 1219. The Ottomans attacked Posedarje many times, which resulted in the extermination of the Croatian population in the area. As for tourism, this town has everything that tourists need for a quality vacation. There are markets, shops, cafes, restaurants, and all other necessary infrastructure. There are two main beaches, one pebble and the other sandy, but next to them there are many smaller, more secluded beaches for perfect peace and privacy. In addition to the vicinity of Zadar and national parks, Vrana Lake Nature Park, and many historical and tourist Posedarje offers apartment and hotel accommodation.
