Grožnjan
Predivan srednjovjekovni grad Grožnjan -proslavljeni grad umjetnika i glazbe, udaljen je samo dvadeset minuta vožnje od Umaga u Istri. Njegov brežuljak okružen terasama zasađenim starim i plodnim maslinicima i vinogradima zapravo je uzvišenje pješčenjaka nastalo djelovanjem dvaju potoka, Kanistran i Pistion. Iz Grožnjana se pruža veličanstven pogled na dvadesetak okolnih istarskih sela, dolinu prekrasne rijeke Mirne i čisto,kristalno more sve od Novigrada pa do Umaga. Malene, slatke,usko sagrađene kuće i njegov ponos -dvorac jasno svjedoče o njegovoj bogatoj srednjovjekovnoj prošlosti i gotovo svaka vrata u ovom šarmantnom gradiću imaju za ispričati zanimljive priče o drevnoj Graeciniani.

Small town on a hill, with a church, stone houses traditional for Croatian towns. When we were there, at the entrance to the town there was a sale with all sorts of antiques, it was very interesting to see, and my wife bought an old painted vase.

A very small place with only a few restaurants, but there are some interesting shops, quite authentic, yet in good condition.

I was thrilled to discover Grozhnjan as an artistic town. The old stone buildings have been restored splendidly to my amazement. Ancient buildings have also been preserved there.

During my last vacation to this destination, I enjoyed plenty of jazz music and live band performance, and I loved local delicacies served in the restaurants.

I bought the best olive oil in some store there and when I brought a jar home, my wife really liked it.

My family visited the artistic studios and galleries where we bought some handmade crafts. We got paintings and carvings, all made with love.

My husband and I decided to have our wedding anniversary in a church on the town and it was fabulous. Gave me the vintage feeling that we'll grow old together.
