Potravlje is a village located on the shores of Lake Peruch, at the foot of Mount Svilaja. The place was inhabited by Illyrians in ancient times. The remains of an early Christian basilica with graves at the Grudina site testify to the early arrival of Christianity in this area. In the village, there are also the ruins of the town of Potravnik, which is popularly known as Bichin grad or Kotromanich kula. The first mention of the town dates back to 1371.This area is known for its traditional pottery, but it has been preserved to this day only in Potravlje. Until the Second World War, there were about twenty families living in the village who were engaged in making earthenware, and today there are only two left.
