Liznjan is a fishing village with a naturally protected harbor located on a small peninsula in the south of Istria. The place observes the clear blue sea and the Kvarner islands in their full beauty. There are as many as 28km of beautiful and pristine beaches that are mostly rocky. The history of this small place is truly fascinating, as evidenced by the finds of a settlement over 7000 years old, the remains of Roman villas, pieces of amphorae and old sunken ships that are still in its underwater world. It is an ideal place for nature lovers and for those who want to relax away from traffic, and at the same time stay close to the entertainment facilities of the tourist center. Apart from tourism, the inhabitants of this place are now engaged in fishing as they were thousands of years ago. An undiscovered gem, located in front of its shores is the islet of Levan, with a beautiful sandy beach and two restaurants, an ideal place for those eager for adventure and a different sea experience. Like any other place, Liznjan organizes numerous festivities during the summer, the most famous being "Liznjan Night" (traditional folk festival on August 4), club station (spearfishing competition on April 18) and Assumption (folk festival with music and gastronomic specialties on August 15). .
