Krka
The river Krka springs at the foot of the Dinara mountain and flows into the Adriatic Sea near Shibenik. It is best known for its special landscape consisting of seven travertine waterfalls, and its course from Knin to Skradin has been declared a National Park.Krka National Park was declared in 1985 as a karst phenomenon of seven travertine waterfalls of exceptional beauty. It is best to visit the park in spring or summer, when it is in full bloom and when visitors can refresh themselves in the clear water of the river.Below the Skradinski buk waterfall is the Jaruga Hydroelectric Power Plant, the second oldest hydroelectric power plant in the world and the oldest in Europe. It was put into operation just two days after the first hydroelectric plant at Niagara Falls. The famous inventor Nikola Tesla had great merit in the construction of the hydroelectric power plant.

The landscape of this spring is an eyecatcher, it has seven travertine waterfalls. My fiance stayed near the exceptionally beautiful waterfall as we watched the water flow and enjoyed the cool breeze and atmosphere here. An oasis of peace and tranquility.

It was the perfect spot for us to refresh ourselves in the clear water of the river. We toured the Jaruga Hydroelectric Power Plant and it was a wonderful to experience the magical power of electricity. An amazing river, with a rich history.

As an engineering student Krka was the best place for me to visit. I learned about the history of the hydroelectric power plant and how it functions. The trip was very educative.

Not every paradise is tropical. The waterfall view was breathtaking and it also acted as a great backdrop for my pictures and videos. There's no time to be bored in a wonderful world as this.

My partner proposed to me by the river during sunset and i loved everything about it. The view in the horizon as the sun set was amazingly beautiful, a place of love. Made some unforgettable memories here.

The locals here are cordial and homey. They offered me a place to stay during my trip, showed me around the town and also invited me to share a meal with them. Had a wonderful experience touring this place.
