Vransko Lake
Der wunderschöne Vrana-See auf Cres ist ein natürliches Karstphänomen. Er ist wahrscheinlich nach dem Dorf Vrana benannt, das einen spektakulären Blick auf den See bietet, aber die Einheimischen nennen ihn nur "See". Er gilt auch als der tiefste See in ganz Osteuropa.Der See ist eine Kryptodepression, d. h. sein Wasserspiegel liegt über dem Meeresspiegel und sein Grund liegt unter dem Meeresspiegel. Der See versorgt die Einwohner von Cres und den Lošinj-Inseln mit Süß- und Trinkwasser. Aufgrund seiner unglaublichen Eigenschaften steht er unter Naturschutz und ist nur begrenzt zugänglich, so dass Sie den wunderschönen Blick auf diesen einzigartigen See nur aus der Ferne genießen können, nämlich vom umliegenden Dorf Vrana aus.

it was super beautiful having a look at this lake which is a natural phenomenon. i took my white water bottle to fetch and quench my thirst with the tasty water from the lake. what an awesome and amazing moment at vransko lake.

I had some of my fishing equipments since i knew that my vacation was literally to the lake, fishing was an amazing thing to me. since the place was well protected it was my pleasure having a peaceful moment viewing the beautiful environment from a distance. i will absolutely come back!

I came to this place to see this extraordinary river. Though there were restrictions from going near the river, I enjoyed viewing it from far. It water seemed clear and the vegetation around it was green and beautiful. The air here was fresh and cool. I loved the sight of the river.
