Orebich is located towards the top of the Peljeshac peninsula, opposite the island of Korchula. Once very famous for its maritime industry - which reached its peak in the middle of the 19th century during Austro-Hungary - today it is probably the most famous resort on the Peljeshac peninsula. There are some beautiful beaches in it, including the rarity in Croatia - sandy beaches! (See the Trstenica beach in particular.) The area is also a good place for a range of activities, including surfing and diving.
