The remains of the Church of Stomorica in Zadar are very interesting to visitors because the floor plan of the church is in the shape of a key. According to local stories, it symbolizes the keys of St. Petra. This pre-Romanesque church was previously dedicated to St. Ursula. It is known that the church had a dome and a rectangular arm with a bell tower instead of an apse. Unfortunately, in order to use the material for fortifications, it was demolished in the 16th century. Archaeologists discovered and explored it in the late 19th century, after which it was buried again, and at the end of 1966 excavated and preserved.
