Valun
Valun, a typical fishing village sheltered by the Pernat Bay, and located along the Cres Bay, is widely known for the discovery of the famous Valun Plate. The plaque was found in the church of St. A stamp located in a village cemetery.This exceptional document, extremely important for the history and culture of Croats in the region, dates from IX. century, and today can be divided on the wall of the parish church of St. The boulder plate is known for its well-preserved bilingual inscription, one in Glagolitic and the other in Latin.Accommodation is easy to find, either in private apartments or in a small, well-kept camp, especially suitable for all those who like to spend their free time in close proximity to nature. But Valun is primarily a city known for its gastronomic specialties, especially shellfish and other seafood, prepared professionally and with great care, according to only traditional recipes.

The history of this town is amazing. It is known for its glagolitic inscription. I gotta see it and it was a thrilling experience. I also enjoyed scuba diving in its waters. It was so magical and worth every minute.

I visited the Parish Church of St, The Boulder plate in this location. I particularly loved the bilingual inscription in Glagolitic and Latin, that adorn its interior walls and the cultural significance the place held for the local inhabitants. It was a great learning experience and will bring my wife on my next visit.

I learned about the famous Valun plate that was found in the church of St. A Stamp located in the village cemetery. It was phenomenal learning about the historical significance the artefact had on the locals and I will visit again soon.

My girlfriend introduced me to this place and we loved going fishing together. We loved camping near the forest where we would behold the beauty of the mother nature and the stars at night. It was lovely.

Accommodation is easy to find and of good quality, spacious and clean. The attendants at the accommodation units are kind and ready to help when needed, their services are top notch. It's a great place to visit.

This town is a very adventurous town. I really relished the scuba diving and snorkeling escapades as I got to admire the pristine aqua blue waters and rich sea underline. The experiences left me very ecstatic.
