This small, today uninhabited island has been declared a special reserve because of its many special natural features, especially because of its rare flora and fauna that is not found anywhere else on the Adriatic, and extremely extraordinary, almost unreal and seemingly barren rocky landscapes ravaged by storms and some naturalists even think that this island, due to its natural beauty and characteristics, deserves the status of a national park in the Kvarner archipelago!
