Novska
Područje Novske bilo je vlasništvo grofice Katarine Svetačke, sve do najezde Turaka (počevši 1530.), a potom i Kristofora II. Godine 1540. postao je turski vazal. Uvidjevši da ne može zadržati svoje posjede, predao je sultanu svoje četiri utvrde, a među njima i Novsku, tadašnji Wyvar. Tijekom turskog pohoda i pada najpoznatije tvrđave na ovom području - Kraljeve Velike - 1544., Novska je potpuno pala pod tursku vlast, a u to vrijeme crkva sv. Dimitrija je uništena.Urbanom ustrojstvu Novske dan je obris u 18. stoljeću, prije svega naseljavanjem Krajiške ceste, koju je dala sagraditi carica Marija Terezija, zatim građenjima stambenih objekata s obje strane potoka Novljančice. Trokut čine tri glavne i najstarije ulice. U 19. i 20. stoljeću nadogradnja je mijenjala i upotpunjavala urbanu jezgru i naselja.

The area of Novska is rich of history from the 18th century where the urban structure of the city by the Krajishka road was built by Empress Mother Teresa. The sightseeing of the residential buildings built on both sides of the Novljanchica stream is exceptional. I loved watching the streams during the day.

Finding accommodation in the city is very easy ;they are pocket friendly and worth of your money. The restaurants provide quality services to their customers and their foods are very delicious. They are best accompanied with wine.

The visit to this place was great. I loved the historical sights which I toured the whole day and later I enjoyed a delicious meal in a tavern in town. I will come back here again soon.

I was invited to visit this place by a friend. We explored the town and visited various historical sights. We had a great time mingling with the locals and eating delicious meals at the restaurant.
