Korita
Korita su selo u unutrašnjosti nastalo u 15. stoljeću nakon seobe sa Žare i nakon pustošenja Okuklje.Ime je dobio po udubljenjima prirodnog kamena koja su se tijekom kišnih dana punila vodom.Zbog svog zemljopisnog položaja, Korita je bila važan strateški položaj za praćenje voda Mljetskog kanala i otvorenog mora.Usred sela nalazi se kula koja je služila za obranu od čestih gusarskih napada. Tijekom 17. i 18. stoljeća ljudi su se bavili ribolovom i mjesta su se bogatila. Glavno zanimanje bilo je loviti i prodavati slanu ribu, posebno srdele.Za to vrijeme selo naseljavaju dubrovački, stonski i drugi krajevi, a Korita poprima obilježja urbanog središta.

I engaged in the fishing practices of the locals of the area. I learned they mainly engage in the fishing of salty fish like sardines. I learned about how the fish is prepared immediately it is captured and preserved in order to reach the market in fresh conditions.

The boat rides at the sea was amazing and we enjoyed the view of the landscape as well as the sea. The cruise took us through some amazing places and with the help of the guide we managed to see the wonderful caves and great places too.

It has a rich history which is interesting. We toured some historic sites that were lovely and i enjoyed my visit to the places. We also had the chance of visiting some ancient ruins that were awesome to see and took some pictures at the place.

I bought the salted fish especially the sardines to take back home. The tower found at the middle of the village served as a defense against frequent pirate attacks. I also learnt that, it was an important strategic position for monitoring the waters of the Mjet Channel and the open sea.

My mom told me about this place and i couldn't wait to visit. i went to fishing escapades, had the best seafood accompanied by a rich wine. the experience was fulfilling and breathtaking.

We went fishing with the native around and the activity was fun and interesting. The people were welcoming and showed much love to us. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

This town came to be in the 15th Century. It's a beautiful small town. It also served as a defense against pirate attacks. It is a small town located on a hill. Hiking to this place was an amazing experience.
