Općina Jakšić smještena je u središtu požeške kotline i prostire se na površini od 44,85 četvornih kilometara.Regija Jakšić ima mnogo plodnih ravnica u središnjem položaju u Požeškom polju.Jakšić se nalazi na mjestu gdje je u srednjem vijeku bilo naselje koje se zvalo Sveti Đurađ, kako se vidi iz dokumenata iz 1400. godine i iz opisa međaša Požege 1545. Ime najvjerojatnije potječe od plemića Jakušića koji su u srednjem vijeku (1373. – 1489.) imali u ovom kraju svoje posjede. Selo je dobilo to ime tek za turskog vladanja. Tada su u selu zajedno s katolicima i pravoslavcima živjeli i muslimani. Imali su svoju džamiju, a današnji naziv brežuljka Džamija, uz cestu prema Požegi, uspomena je upravo na to razdoblje.

The History of this town was so fascinating and mesmerizing. I got to learn of its history. I visited its historical places and its beauty was so mesmerizing and stunning. The people were so friendly and hospitable.

The place has a great history that dates back in time and all the sites at the place indicates of the marvel that the place holds. We visited some of the dites and learned of the amazing things that we graced on our tour around.

The cultural heritage at the place is diverse and rich and we had the chance of visiting some of the churches and mosques that were beautiful. Picturesque places and amazing paintings as well as architectural buildings that were amazing to watch.
