Susak
Susak ist eine einzigartige Insel in der Adria, sowohl in Bezug auf ihre Herkunft als auch auf ihr Aussehen: Die Insel taucht schon sehr früh auf Seekarten auf, zunächst unter dem römischen Namen Sansacus oder Sansegus. Die erste Erwähnung der Insel in schriftlichen Quellen geht auf die Mitte des 9. Jahrhunderts zurück, als die Sarazenen und die Venezianer in ihren Gewässern aufeinander trafen.Die meisten Einwohner leben nach dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs auf der Insel Susak. Die erste Siedlung, deren Ursprünge bis in die Römerzeit zurückreichen, entstand auf einer fruchtbaren Hochebene und wird Gornje selo genannt, während Donje selo, das sich im Hafen befindet, jüngeren Datums ist und während der Blütezeit des Weinbaus im späten 19. Jahrhundert

I was able to attend some of the festivals and events held in this location and it was riveting. I attended the Emigrants' day celebrated the last Sunday of July and they began the tradition in 1985. I will bring my wife in the next visit.

It took me half a day to walk round the whole island on the beach, it was a nice stroll, i then went to the market and bought nice artefacts for my souvenir collection, the hotels were also very good and had nice hospitality, it was magnificent

The susak island is very beautiful, the boat ride here was exceptional i made sure i would take my time touring this place and i enjoyed great food, drinks and nice historical visits of the fortresses and churches. I loved it

My kids enjoyed sunbathing on the sun loungers and swimming in the crystal clear blue sea. The restaurants in the place make magical and tasty sushi which are my kids favourite. The island has its ways of charming your way to it.

I learned about the rich history of city and that of the inhabitants. The inhabitants of the island were friendly, accommodative and kind which made my stay here easier and enjoyable. I loved touring the island.

This place had the most beautiful view and amazing historical sights. The view from the rooftop of my hotel was breathtaking. I was able to see the whole town from here. The historical sights were well kept and interesting to see.

I enjoyed touring this place. I sent to the beach where I relaxed and enjoyed sitting in the cool shades of pine trees. Being a book lover, I read my books while sipping cold delicious home made juice and cookies. I watched the excellent sunset from here. It was amazing.
