Popovača
Popovača je grad duge povijesti. Prvi tragovi ljudskog života na ovom prostoru datiraju u prapovijest. U Rimsko doba blizina antičke Siscie (današnjeg Siska) pridonijela je razvoju ovog prostora, pa se tako uz cestu između Siska i Variannisa (Kutine) nalazi veliki kompleks rimske vile. O periodu Srednjeg vijeka svjedoče brojne utvrde u okolici, a uz njih se razvila Popovača. Znatan zamah u moderno doba Popovača dobiva 1897. godine dolaskom pruge. Danas je Popovača zanimljiva posjetiteljima zbog brojnih vinarija i vinograda, pješačkim i planinarskim stazama te okolnim utvrdama.

We enjoyed wine tasting at the wineries of some autochthonous wines and loved the spectacular product of the local gastronomic specialities.

Hiking around Popovaca was great and a visit to the archeological sites was phenomenal and refreshing.
