Kutina is a city 70 kilometers away from Zagreb, located on the southern slopes of vineyards overgrown with forested Moslavachka gora and on the edge of Lonjsko polje, one of the largest wetlands in this part of Europe.With 15,000 inhabitants, Kutina is the largest business, trade and administrative center in Moslavina, with the headquarters of many county services and the largest Moslavina companies. Kutina is often called the green city, thanks to its numerous trees, landscaped shrubs, hedges and parks.Proof that Kutina was a crossroads in ancient times was the Roman settlement, which is presumed to have been the Varianis mentioned in Roman documents. The remains of the settlement are located in the western part of Kutina in Kutinska Lipa.
