The church of Biograd’s protector saint, the beloved saint Anastasia, was built in 1761. Perched on the highest gable of the church (this Baroque church is 10 m tall) is the statue of Anastasia. While this is an impressive feature of the church it is by no means the only one. There are five altars inside (the the gilded wooden altar from the 18th century will certainly catch your eye) and several tombstones. The people of Biograd na Moru have shown their love for the church and their martyred saint many times over the centuries by willingly giving whatever funds they could collect for its several restorations. The church is open daily and you can find it in the center of Biograd na Moru, not far from the Heritage Museum.
