According to a tradition older than 110 years, a cannon fires from the Lotrshchak tower every day at noon in memory of the legend that during the siege a shot from the tower fired at a Turkish camp blew up a rooster that was supposed to be a meal of Hasan Pasha, after which the Turks withdrew and thus the city was saved.
