Rakovica je kraj bogat ljepotama prirode i raznolikom prošlošću. Općina Rakovica smještena je u najjužnijem dijelu Karlovačke županije, tik uz granicu prekrasnog Nacionalnog parka Plitvička jezera. Općina obuhvaća čak 26 naselja smještenih na obalama rijeke Korane te tako povezuje gospodarski i društveni život nacionalnog parka i Rakovice.Prvi zapisi o Rakovici datiraju iz srednjeg vijeka. Rakovica je poznata po ustanku pod vodstvom Eugena Kvaternika iz 1871. godine.Danas Rakovica svoje turiste, goste i putnike koji posjećuju ovu regiju ili prolaze kroz nju dočekuje sa prekrasnim krajolicima, gostoljubivim domaćina, udobnim smještajem, vrhunskim restoranima i poznatom delikatesom- rakovačkim sirom

I was privileged to taste the famous delicacy Rakovica Cheese which was mouth watering. The room i was my vacation in was spacious, clean and fit with air freshners and conditioners to ensure fresh air supply in the rooms. In the morning , i was served with delicious well cooked breakfast by the hospitable hosts.

The physical features of this place were amazing. I loved the rocky landscapes together with the lunch greenery. The wild flowers bloomed emitting sweet scents in to the fresh air. The people were friendly and hospitable. Restaurants served delicious dishes which I devoured to the last spoon. I enjoyed my stay here.

First of all I loved the local people who were friendly and ever so willingly to help, they fit perfect with teh beautiful landscapes that surrounded them. My experiencing visiting this place was unforgettable, one can just enjoy the natural surroundings, clean air and just an escape from the city life. The local delicacies are also something to try out, I especially loved the Rakovica cheese.
