Die Stadt mit etwa 14.544 Einwohnern liegt am Fluss Lonja, in Moslavina, an der Autobahn Zagreb - Lipovac. Sie ist 38 km von Zagreb entfernt. Die Wirtschaft basiert auf der Öl- und Gasförderung, der Landwirtschaft, der Viehzucht, der chemischen Industrie und der Metallverarbeitung. Das mittlere und kleine Unternehmertum stützt sich auf die Erbringung von Dienstleistungen im Bauwesen, Tourismus, Gastgewerbe und Handel. Ivanic-Grad wurde erstmals im 13. Jahrhundert (1246) urkundlich erwähnt. Die vergangenen Jahrhunderte haben ein reiches historisches und kulturelles Erbe und sehenswerte Denkmäler hinterlassen. Die Stadt ist auch für den Kurort "Naftalan" bekannt.

My girlfriend and I visit this town regularly. We especially love the tranquil spots like the historical ruins where we can take walks and have picnics under the beautiful trees. The serenity in this town is just unrivaled.
