Desinich is a small village on the picturesque green hills of Hrvatsko Zagorje. The first mention of the village is found in documents from the 14th century, and it is mentioned under the name 'Ecclesia sancti Gheorgii de Zothla' as the seat of the Roman Catholic parish of St. George. The name 'Desinje' is also found in old documents.
