Virovitica
Virovitica ist eine Stadt nahe der ungarischen Grenze und die Hauptstadt der Gespanschaft Virovitica-Podravina. Sie liegt in der Nähe des Flusses Drau und gehört zur historischen Region Slawonien. Virovitica hat 14.688 Einwohner, die Gemeinde hat 21.291 Einwohner. Der Name Virovitica als magna villa Wereucha erscheint erstmals 1234 in der Urkunde Kolomans, durch die Virovitica den Titel einer freien Königsstadt erhielt. Zwischen 1552 und 1684 war die Stadt Teil des Osmanischen Reiches.Virovitica ist eine Stadt mit einem reichen kulturellen Erbe. Die Anfänge aller kulturellen Schätze Viroviticas gehen auf die Zeit unmittelbar nach der kroatischen nationalen Wiedergeburt zurück, die das kroatische Volkstum und das staatliche, nationale, historische und kulturelle Bewusstsein erweckte.

There were lots of snack shops and hotels to relax and enjoy a delicious meal in a pleasant ambience. In the afternoon, we would our day at the river Drava as we admired the water flow with its huge volumes creating a rhythm to our ears. A place rich in cultural heritage.

I came to this place with my fiance for an agricultural tour. We enjoyed the cool country clip.ate and fresh air. Our visit to the various farms was wonderful. We visited the butter company and the winery where we participated in the wine tasting event. The trip was wonderful.

Lots of historic sites that we managed to visit through the whole trip across the city. Interesting places that we loved and some cultural heritage that we loved to learn about. Beautiful architectural buildings that we loved through our whole trip.
