The town of Gracac and the municipality of the same name are located in the southern part of Lika, and are separated from Dalmatia by a high massif of Velebit. Traces of the medieval town on Gradina have been preserved, and the town has been mentioned as early as the 14th century.Cerovac Caves, the largest cave complex in Croatia is located 4 kilometers from Gračac. The underground channels of the Cerovac Caves are about 7 kilometers long and have numerous stalagmites and stalactites, some of which are several meters high. The caves were accidentally discovered during the works on the Lika railway in 1924.In recent years, increasing emphasis has been placed on the development of rural tourism and organic food production, which is possible thanks to the untouched nature and the beautiful mountain landscape.
