The only natural value in Croatia that is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Plitvice Lakes are a world jewel of inestimable value. Their specific beauty is a refuge for nature lovers and inspiration for artists, and a unique and rich nature research site for scientists. So far, 114 speleological objects have been recorded in the park, which is part of the Dinaric karst area and belongs to one of the most impressive karst units in the world, with specific geological, geomorphological and hydrological features.Plitvice Lakes are located a little further from the highway, but it is quite close which gives the opportunity to visit on the way to the sea. It is definitely one of the places you can come with some dear heart, holding hands or embracing and walking through a magical landscape surrounded by the sound of falls and crystal clear water.The park has two entrances, north or entrance 1 opposite the restaurant Lička kuća, and south or entrance 2 opposite the turn for the hotels Plitvice and Bellevue. Guests have at their disposal 8 different visiting and sightseeing programs, which include walks along paths and wooden bridges, a trade ride and a boat trip on Lake Kozjak. A panoramic train and an electric boat connect Donje and Gornje jezero and are included in the ticket price. All information can be obtained at the info centers located at entrances 1 and 2.
