Dubrovnik
Već tijekom 14. i u 15. stoljeću Dubrovnik je, uz Veneciju i Anconu, najznačajnije pomorsko-trgovačko središte na Jadranu.Zlatno doba Dubrovačke Republike nastupa u 16. stoljeću kada sjaj i moć Mletačke Republike jenjava.Opća kriza pomorstva na Mediteranu u 17. stoljeću pogodila je i dubrovačku pomorsku trgovinu. Katastrofalni potres 1667. doveo je Dubrovačku Republiku u kritično razdoblje borbe za opstanak i političkog očuvanja nezavisnosti. 18. stoljeće donosi Dubrovniku priliku za gospodarskom obnovom u pomorskoj trgovini pod neutralnom zastavom i tako dočekuje Napoleonovo ukinuće Dubrovačke Republike 1808. Bečkim kongresom 1815. dubrovačka regija je pripojena ostalom dijelu Dalmacije i Hrvatske i od tada dijele zajedničku političku sudbinu.Danas se naziva ' Biserom Jadrana. ' S takvim nadimkom teško je ne ostati ravnodušan kada posjetite grad Dubrovnik.Za Dubrovnik se može reći kako je elitno odredište i jedan od najljepših gradova na Mediteranu.Sklono tome, poznati irski književnik i Nobelovac, George Bernard Shaw, jednom je rekao da bi "oni koji traže raj na Zemlji trebali doći u Dubrovnik i pronaći ga". Suvremeni se Dubrovnik sastoji od bajkovitog Starog grada i gusto naseljenih predgrađa, spektakularnih plaža i Elafitskih otoka.Dubrovnik je prepun zapanjujuće arhitekture i skulpturalnih detalja, a može se pohvaliti slikovitim starim crkvama, samostanima, muzejima i fontanama koje se urežu u sjećanje svakom posjetiocu i postaju dio njega zauvijek.

My kids really loved this town. The historical bit of this town was really fascinating for them. They visited the Rector's Palace, the city walls and the Old Town of Dubrovnik. They were really intrigued. They also found their traditional delicacies to be very delicious

This town is ideal for a venturesome experience. It is such a historical town with plenty of historical monuments. I visited the bell tower and I took several photos. The onofrio's fountains were so mesmerizing. The hotels and restaurants were so well decorated and their services were spectacular.

My friends and I had a dauntless experience when we visited this town. It's a town I would love to visit again. Visiting its churches was such a divine experience. They were so beautiful and the pieces of art were so perfect. The history of the churches were absolutely shocking. They had preserved their history through several documents.

The fortresses in this town were all so spectacular. I started my visit by visiting the Old Town of Dubrovnik. It is such a wonderful site. It was complimented with the Dubrovnik city Walls. Their history was so fascinating. The Cathedral of Dubrovnik is such a wonderful and amazing church. Its divine nature cannot be explained.

This town is so rich in history. It has a lot of historical monuments. One cannot miss its Old Town and the City walls. I loved the accommodation facilities in this town. They were modern but with a bit of the Dalmatian Style.

I toured the beautiful museums in this location and was awed by the cultural heritage of the locations. Some of the museums I toured were the Maritime Museum, Red History Museum, and Cultural history museum. It was a great experience and will bring my wife in the next visit.

I enjoyed spending my summer vacation on the beautiful beaches in this location. I particularly loved the Banje beach since it had shallow waters which was great for my kids to play in and it had jet skis, inflatables, accessible showers, and rentable sun loungers.
