Opuzen
Eine Stunde von Split und Dubrovnik entfernt, liegt die Stadt Opuzen in einer wunderschönen Region in Süddalmatien. Sie ist nach der Festung "Fort Opus" benannt, die 1684 von der Republik Venedig erbaut wurde. Ein Teil der Ruinen ist bis heute erhalten geblieben und erzählt die Geschichte der alten Zeiten.Opuzen liegt 12 Kilometer flussaufwärts von der Mündung des Flusses Neretva und hat eine strategische Lage. Bereits im 14. Jahrhundert unterhielt die Republik Ragusa, eine souveräne Republik mit Sitz in der Stadt Dubrovnik, die wichtigsten Märkte für Salz und andere Geschäfte in dieser kleinen Stadt. Heute verliert Opuzen, wie viele Kleinstädte in Kroatien, viele junge Menschen, die in größere Städte abwandern oder ins Ausland gehen. Nach Jahren des Studiums oder der Arbeit im Ausland fehlt ihnen oft ein Grund oder eine Gelegenheit, zurückzukehren.

I was throwing a birthday party for my kid and the beach was the best place, it could accommodate a number of people and also the bouncing castle. The kids loved the whale talk and the turtle race games. We had so much fun

I was in fire need of an active vacation. I visited this place and enjoyed bike riding and hiking. The scent from the greenery was refreshing and cool. I had a great vacation here.

The history of the place is fascinating and we had the opportunity of getting to learn of the history of the place on our visit to the place. We visited the various ruins and ancient fortress that tells of the interesting story of the ancient times. Great place to visit and enjoy of the superb things.

Ston has great nature parks to visit with your family. I visited one of the nature parks with my family and enjoyed watching and feeding wildlife. My kids didn't want to leave the place. Its so beautiful.

I never thought that I will love this place.I really enjoyed wind surfing with my friends. The temperatures there are just okay for a stay.

I really enjoyed the boat tours and water sports. I got a chance to make new friends who taught me how to play well. Opozen is a place I would consider revisiting.
