Die Olib Insel
Die Insel Olib befindet sich im Archipel von Zadar, östlich der Insel Silba. Heute hat sie etwa 150 Einwohner. Die einzige größere Siedlung ist das gleichnamige Olib. Sie wird vom griechischen Geschichtsschreiber Strabo zu Beginn der Neuzeit unter dem Namen Aloip erwähnt, war aber wahrscheinlich schon in der Eisenzeit besiedelt. Kroaten haben die Insel seit Mitte des 7. Jahrhunderts bewohnt. Später war sie unter venezianischer und italienischer Herrschaft. Die Insel ist durch Fähr- oder Katamaranlinien mit Zadar, Mali Loshinj und den umliegenden Inseln verbunden. Das Fahren mit dem Auto ist auf der Insel nicht erlaubt, es ist nur möglich, das Fahrzeug zu parken.

A visit to the nearby National park was outstanding.We saw birds and numerous tree species that are indigenous. The park is good and well preserved.

My wife and I enjoyed the culture of people of Olib. They did all kinds of traditional activities like pottery. So outstanding.

Wonderful beaches that are present at the Island and lots of activities to engage in. We went swimming at the sea with the hot summer temperatures and it was the best thing to do with my friends. I enjoyed myself and loved the beauty of nature was amusing.

This place was adorned with beautiful beaches which where I enjoyed diving and swimming in the clear water. The Sunday beach was peaceful ideal for a passive vacation.
