Gacka Valley
Gacka ist ein wertvoller ethnografischer Ort, an dem die Fülle wahrer Werte einstimmig zusammentrifft: Schönheit, Wasser, Landschaft, Tradition, Authentizität und natürlich die Gastronomie! Das Wasser des Flusses ist Trinkwasser (zweitbeste Qualität in Europa), die einheimische Forelle ist der begehrteste Flussfisch, die Wasserpflanzen der Gacka wurden einst an das Vieh verfüttert, an den Quellen des Flusses (in Sinac - Tonkovic und Majerevo vrilo) und den Wasserfällen (in der Schweiz) wurden Weizenmühlen renoviert, sowie Stampfmühlen zum Waschen und "Weichmachen" von hausgemachten Wolltextilien und Körbe zum Rollen und Waschen von Wolldecken, die Sie in der Nähe besichtigen und kaufen können, solche einheimischen Produkte. I loved being a part of the various events that take place in the location. Examples of these events include; the Gacha carnival, Folklore festival of Lika, Sales fair in Sinac, and Advent Otocac. I got to experience the rich culture and heritage of the people in this location.

I learned about the ethnographic values of this location and I was awed. The river water can be directly drunk without causing any harm, It hosts the indigenous trout that is most sought after in different locations, and the water plants could be used as livestock food.

Interesting events and activities for the summer and when we visited the place we attended the famous concert. The turn up was crazy with people partying all night and lots of performances from amazing artists. Magical experience that is thrilling.

We went for a hike at the trails that are present at the place. The landscape is beautiful and the nature is filled with a dense flora that is enticing. My experience with the other hikers was superb and amazing to have a good hike although.

We bought some of the indigenous products produced here such as baskets for rolling and washing woolen blankets as souvenirs back home. We also indulged in activities such as kayaking, hiking and cycling during our stay here. The most exciting activity i involved in was fishing, i was taught how to trap fish by the friendly local fishermen here.

The green grassland was very satisfying to watch, the scenery was outstanding and the birds flying around really gave it an amazing finish. Also the blue waters of the river were really satisfying just to look at and the buildings design were also fabulous
