Banjol je mali otočić zapadno od Rovinja. . Visok je 14 m, obala mu je uglavnom nepristupačna, osim manjim dijelom na zapadnoj strani na kojoj je špilja, dijelom ispod morske razine, oko 5 m dubine. Na kraju podmorske jame je tunel, dovoljno širok da može proći i opremljeni ronilac, kroz koji se izranja u plićak. Iz zraka nalik je na lokvicu u kamenom grotlu. Ova prirodna atrakcija omiljeno je ronilačko izletište.Banjol se u literaturi naziva i Isola (dei) Piloti- otok peljara, nekadašnjih pomoraca specijaliziranih za vođenje brodova na ruti prema Veneciji, koji su se na toj poziciji ukrcavali.

The promenade there is like no other in European destinations I have been to. It actually gives a stunning view of the old town and the sea at sunset.
