Porec is a two-century-old tourist town located in the heart of the west coast of the Istrian peninsula, full of the remains of ancient temples and forums that are widespread and visible throughout the old town. The most valuable and most recognizable cultural and historical monument of this city is definitely the Euphrasian Basilica from the 6th century, completely under the protection of UNESCO.Today, Porec is a popular tourist destination that, with its sights and facilities, perfectly combines the past with the present. The Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm summers makes the city pleasant for visitors all year round. The summer season is perfect for spending time on the beach, swimming and sunbathing, while out of season you can avoid the crowds and quietly enjoy this picturesque historic town.

It is a coastal town with a port and waterfront. From the seaport of Porec, a boat goes to Venice for a one-day excursion. In Porec itself you can also have a good time, eat delicious ice cream, visit souvenir shops, and lie on the beach.

I saw the whole old town of Porec in 1 day, the city is clean and has its own charm, but for me it seemed small. For antiquity, I would go to Rovinj, where you can walk and each time find something new
