The beautiful town of Fazhana in Croatia is a popular tourist destination and the real highlight of a holiday in Istria. The history of Fazhana dates back to the Middle Ages, when in official documents the town was already mentioned as a small fishing village. Later, in the time of Napoleon, he was a member of the "Fishermen's Brotherhood of St. Andrija ”, and at the beginning of the 20th century the largest anchovy factory in Istria could be found here. Until tourism increased, fishing was the most important economic activity of the inhabitants and has remained to this day but of course not to the same extent as before.
Thanks to its perfect location, Fazhana is an ideal starting point for many excursions.
For example, the famous Brijuni National Park with its 14 islands and beautiful Safari Park, is located right on the coast, and the famous city of Pula which impresses with its picturesque old town and Roman amphitheater. Another famous destination is the colorful Rovinj, which is located about 30 kilometers from Fazana. It is one of the absolutely most beautiful coastal towns in Istria and a trip there is definitely worth the visit!
