Bjelovar
Bjelovar ist eine Stadt in Zentralkroatien. Sie ist das Verwaltungszentrum der Gespanschaft Bjelovar-Bilogora. Die Stadt wurde erstmals 1413 erwähnt und gewann erst an Bedeutung, als 1756 auf Anordnung der habsburgischen Kaiserin Maria Theresia eine neue Festung gebaut wurde. Die ursprüngliche Aufgabe der Stadt war die Verteidigung Zentralkroatiens gegen osmanische Angriffe. Die Stadt musste bis zum Ende dieser Kriege warten, bis sie 1874 von Ban Ivan Mažuranić zur freien Königsstadt erklärt wurde.

Bjelovar is such a beauty. I especially enjoyed the mystique museums and the breathtaking collections. It left me in awe. I hope to be back and explore more of this beautiful town.

I was enchanted by the unique architectural buildings showing the old and modern buildings of the city. If you love different designs then this is place to be. Personally, I loved it.

A quite and peaceful city. I walked to the libraries where there a lot of books to read about the rich history of this city. If you love reading, then this is the place for you.

I fell in love with Bjelovar the minute I entered it. Beautiful people, great food, great outdoors activities that made my holiday so much better.

We had a great time in Bjelovar city. We especially enjoyed picnics in the lush parks with their blooming flowers. My kids really had a wonderful time playing here. We recommend this city for families.

This city is very classy yet mystique. I was awestruck by the gorgeous monuments in this town. They were really magnificent and perfect to take pictures at. I hope to return again.
