Klanjec is said to be a small town of ‘big’ people. It is located at the foot of Cesarska gora, along the river Sutla, not far from the Slovenian border. It is first mentioned in written documents in the 15th century, but it is believed to be a century older because it was used for defensive purposes, to protect the fort on the hill. Klanjec is a city that gave birth to many Croatian greats, who left the fruits of their labor right here in recognition. . Rich culture and heritage, preserved tradition and diligent people are part of the offer that you should definitely get to know. The beautiful landscapes in this place are such a sight to behold. I came here with my fiancee and enjoyed the peaceful environment away from the rush in town.

I was delighted by the rich history of Klanjec which was built for defensive purposes to protect the fort on the hill. The most interesting part of it was to hear stories of the legends who made the present beautiful Klanjec. Will definitely come back.

This was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful landscape away from the bustle of the town. The locals were friendly to us and they made our stay feel like a home away from home. The natural monuments were well preserved and well kept.

This town is quite popular. It is known to be the home to very prominent people in Croatian History. Its cultural heritage is so stunning. The architectural design and planning of this town was so marvelous. This town is surrounded by dense forest. The weather is is so lovely.

The small town was such an amazing place to visit, they have done really well with the place in terms of preservation and culture promotion, the people here were very friendly, the view of the surrounding landscape was also good and very quiet
