Nakovanj
Nakovanj oder Nakovana (einheimischer Name), ist ein kleines Dorf auf der Halbinsel Peljesac in der Gemeinde Orebic, Gespanschaft Dubrovnik-Neretva.Der Name des Dorfes Nakovane ist von alter und unbekannter Herkunft. Es wird erstmals 1335 als Nacovalda, 1357 als Nacoualna und 1372 als Nachovalna erwähnt.Eine Legende besagt, dass in diesem Teil von Peljesac drei Schmiedebrüder lebten. Eines Tages beschlossen sie, sich zu trennen, und ein Bruder bekam ein Haus (ein kleines Haus - eine Schmiede), wo er wohnte. Nach dieser Legende erhielt die nahe gelegene Siedlung Kuciste ihren Namen. Der zweite Bruder bekam einen Viganj, die Bezeichnung für ein Schmiedewerkzeug, und ließ sich an einem Ort nieder, der Viganj genannt wurde, und der dritte der Brüder bekam einen Amboss, so dass der Ort, an dem er zu leben beschloss, Amboss genannt wurde.

Being a lover of history, I took some important notes concerning its rich history for my archives. It is one of the historical places where it got different naming in 1335 and 1372. It is a good place to expound our knowledge.

The houses the three blacksmith lived in were so beautiful and I took some memorable photos. I got some of the iron and steels made from the three brothers and took them home since they were well decorated. Soon I will return.

The cool weather here was great. I and my husband took a long walk to the ancient village. We walked hand in hand in this village admiring the old buildings and connecting with the past. The experience was amazing.

Our spiritual journey took us to the ancient old churches which were well maintained despite their age. This place was great for spiritual connection. We left feeling spirituality renewed and happy. We will come again soon.

We always come here with my kids for our summer trip. The weather is very pleasant for the kids and also to take hiking trips that excite them a lot. This is a wonderful place to visit as a family.

My boyfriend and I still vividly remember our trip to this town. We took long walks along its incredible roads admiring the ancient village remains. The ruins left me awestruck and I found them really soothing. We hope to visit again.

I always visit this phenomenal town on my vacation. I love taking pictures of the beautiful forts and admiring the unique structures inside them. The local people are also very friendly and I always leave relaxed.
