Selo svoje današnje ime duguje svojim davnim feudalnim gospodarima, vlasnicima i upraviteljima Pazinske grofovije.

We toured the church of St Roka which is painted in a design that is impress in the opuses of the sacred art in the churches. We also learnt of the rich great history about this destination including of the narrative about the miracle that prompted building a church on top of Padua that was covered in snow. Ideal destination for history lovers.

The oldest church at this place stood by itself in a well maintained compound. The doors were still in place though the hinges had to be greased to make them open with ease. The statue in the church was still in place and the benches well maintained. I loved being here.

If you appreciate art this is a place worth visiting, it has a rich historical background that stems from the time of feudal lords. The main attraction however according to me, would be the paintings made by Antun of Padua in the churches in Istrian countryside.
