Koprivnica
Im Mittelalter wurde Koprivnica nach der Brennnesselpflanze - kopriva - benannt. Im Jahr 1356 wurde Koprivnica eine freie Königsstadt. Im 20. Jahrhundert und insbesondere in den letzten vierzig Jahren entwickelte sich Koprivnica zu einer modernen Stadt, die 1993 zum Zentrum der Gespanschaft Koprivnica-Krizevci wurde. Heute ist Koprivnica eine Stadt mit der Patina einer mitteleuropäischen Altstadt, zu der sich Renaissance- und Barockplätze, Jugendstilgebäude und geräumige moderne Viertel mit mehr als 30.000 Einwohnern gesellt haben. Dank des kroatischen Lebensmittelriesen Podravka, der Arzneimittelfabrik Belupo und der Brauerei Carlsberg trägt Koprivnica den Titel der Stadt der berühmten kroatischen und weltweiten Marken.Mit seiner sorgfältig gestalteten kommunalen Infrastruktur, zahlreichen Veranstaltungen während des ganzen Jahres, neuen Krankenhauseinrichtungen, städtischen Schwimmbädern und angelegten Fahrradwegen wird Koprivnica immer mehr zu einer mitteleuropäischen Stadt, die auf den Menschen zugeschnitten ist. Das reiche kulturelle Erbe und die interessanten Naturschätze in der Umgebung haben das Potenzial, die Stadt zu einem der begehrtesten touristischen Ziele in Kroatien zu machen.

We got to learn about the rich history of the Koprivnica city and its name being derived from a stinging nettle plant. The infrastructure in the city is well developed and the architectural designs are wonderous which gives the city an amazing beauty especially at night. This is the place to be!

I love touring this city every year just to behold the beauty of the diverse cultures from different communities. I loved cycling through the city in the morning along the marked bicycle paths which helped me get ready for the day.The city is calming.

I was a lover of active vacation. The activities here were lively. I went swimming and diving at the beautiful beach and later played beach ball. I was fascinated at how the locals enjoyed this games. It was amazing to be here.

I loved the big restaurants that this place had. I enjoyed the local dishes which came with sweet homemade wine. It was wonderful to watch the band play local music in the evening. I even enjoyed dancing till late night.

My friends picked the place and had a good recommendation of the place. We visited the place for our vacation and it lived upto the standards. We enjoyed the wonders of the place and had a lot of fun swimming and other activities around the town such as cycling.

We attended one of the most famous events that was organised at the place while we were on our tour around the place and we had a lot of fun. We loved the turnup and the beautiful culture of the people and the way they party till dawn was in the best way. We enjoyed every bit of our time and was worth the visit.
