Govedari
Govedari ist ein hügeliges Dorf auf der Insel Mljet mit weniger als zweihundert ständigen Einwohnern. Das Dorf geht auf den Beginn des 18. Jahrhunderts zurück, als die ersten Menschen begannen, sich an diesem Ort niederzulassen und ihre Häuser und Unterstände zu bauen.Das Dorf Govedari befindet sich im Inneren der Insel Mljet, direkt oberhalb des Großen Sees, 5 Kilometer vom Meer entfernt. Es ist Teil des Nationalparks Mljet. Aufgrund seiner Lage in einem fruchtbaren Gebiet ist Govedari traditionell für seine Landwirtschaft bekannt, obwohl die Menschen heute gerne Zimmer vermieten und einige B&B-Dienstleistungen anbieten.

This village is located on top of a hill. The stone statues and houses were so beautiful. It represented their cultural heritage. They are still in perfect condition even after all those years. I enjoy walking to this place. It is surrounded by dense vegetation

Amazing history that the place has and wonderful statues that we witnessed at the place. We tour around the church and loved the beauty of the interior design and paintings of the church as well as the Gothic architectural building it holds.

My friends took me here and being a lover of history, I liked the sculptures and stone houses. I loved the local church which was built with ancient fashion.
