In 1965, Dushan Dzhamonja, a world - famous artist and sculptor, began building his beautiful Istrian home.
The royal home of Dushan Dzhamonja was conceived and realized as a summer house which, in addition to the living space and the Sculpture Park, also contained a study, a workshop and atelier, as well as a private gallery and an apartment for his assistant. The beautifully landscaped Park includes as many as 26 different sculptures (metal, stone, cement, polyester) made in the period from 1964 to 1988. In every respect, it is both a country, but also an artistic and exhibition complex which, with its appearance, appearance and shape and local stone, from which it is made, is skillfully blended into the Mediterranean and coastal ambience just like a Roman villae rusticae or a modern Istrian stanza. In an interview with Ms. Sonja, Dušan's wife states that he considered the Sculpture Park to be his greatest achievement.
