Naselje se nalazi 5 km jugoistočno od Lupoglava. Prvo naselje bila je stara utvrda nastala na strateški zanimljivome i važnom mjestu, na uskoj izbočenoj stijeni koja je s tri strane okružena provalijama bujičnih potoka koji se slijevaju s Učke. Oko 1700. g. je već bila u ruševinama. Sjeverno od utvrde nalazila se crkva sv. Petra i Pavla, no i ona je srušena u II svjetskom ratu te je temeljito obnovljena 1997. godine.Nedaleko mjesta nalazi se jedan od najaktraktivnijih lokaliteta Parka Prirode Učka - kanjon Vele (ili Vranjske) drage, prirodni fenomen i rezervat prirodnog porijekla kojeg su prirodne sile – potresi, vjetrovi, sunce i voda – započele oblikovati još u doba krede. I discovered a lot about this wonderful locality on the geological educational trail especially about its development from the ancient times up to now. I also toured the ruins of the old fortress which was built on a narrow protruding rock surrounded by precipices of torrents on the three sides. Ideal destination for historians.

We enjoyed our nature walk to the nature park at this place. The sight of untouched vegetation and lush greenery was amazing. The wild flowers grew tall emitting their sweet scent into the clear air. The wind blew gently making us feel relaxed and happy. We enjoyed our walk and later sat at our hotel balcony watching the sunset and listening to the birds chip as they prepared to retire for the night.

I enjoyed my visit, the location is full of history with ruins that have interesting stories from the past. But the main and best experience is actually getting the chance to view Draga Canyon that is located in Uchka Nature Park - Vela (or Vranjska) near Vranja, a beautiful creation of nature. I would recommend a visit to this place
