The Paklenica Riviera delights with an incredible mix of diverse landscapes, which can change in an instant before the eyes of observers. Starigrad, the center of the Paklenica Riviera, was founded on the foundations of the ancient Roman city of Argyruntum. Today, it is a lively tourist center with just over a thousand inhabitants, who replaced their traditional way of life at the foot of Velebit half a century ago with life by the sea. Zadar is the center of northern Dalmatia and is well connected with all Croatian cities and major European centers. It takes only one hour from Zadar to Starigrad-Paklenica.
