Lumbarda ima bogatu povijest sačuvana u pisanim dokumentima starim više od dva tisućljeća. Lumbarda je u prošlosti bila ladanjsko odredište korčulanskih biskupa i vlastele.Danas je mjesto za odmor na plaži na otoku Korčuli. Ovo malo selo, udaljeno samo šest kilometara istočno od grada Korčule, nalazi se u mirnom zaljevu s dvije pješčane plaže izvan grada. Najveća pješčana plaža je Pržina, 1 km jugoistočno od sela. U blizini je lijepi Bilin Zal. Obje plaže su mirne i plitke, pa su tako idealne za obiteljski odmor.

Been to Lumbarda township thrice and any time I want escape the crowded town and a time for myself I always opt for the seaside of this city. its comfortingly traditional

My family and i really love strolling on the alley lined with cypress trees which leads to a stairway scalling the hill offering an excellent view of the environs.
